A question: I think I mis-stated the requirement.
I only should be saying that standard semantic schemas should be easy to draw upon while using RuleMaker.
I should not be saying that these necessarily must include XML angle brackets.
Indeed, the OASIS documents for UBL (Universal Business Language) includes a JSON represention:

So perhaps I over-specified the subject line of this task when I said: "Add ability to add xml tags to words in sentences, as well as toggle to hide/display xml code."
I reckon it should say "Add ability to draw upon words from standard schemas when authoring sentences, as well as toggle to hide/display and any specilialized code."
